Pepper Steak
lb of sliced beef (London broil)
1 small onion (cut in cubes)
1 small of cloves minced garlic
2 tbsp. grated/blended ginger
1 bell pepper(cut in cubes)
1 cup of oil
For the Beef Marinating
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. cooking sherry or wine(optional)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. Blended ginger
1 tbsp. cornstarch
Mix everything in a bowl along with the beef, cover it with plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge for about an hour
Sauce
1 cup beef broth or(1 cup of warm water with 1 tsp. add beef seasoning mix)
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1/2 tsp. sesame oil
2 tsp. cornstarch
In a small bowl add everything together and stir till the corn starch is completely dissolved
The Main Procedure
In a skillet add 2 tbsp. oil to coat bottom.
Add marinated beef and spread out. Let it cook 20-30 seconds
before stirring.
Stir and allow the beef to cook for 3-4 minutes, remove and set to the
side.
Add more oil to hot skillet.
Add onions and bell peppers.
Stir and allow it to cook for 2 minutes.
Add minced garlic and ginger. Stir constantly and allow it to cook
for a minute
Add beef back to the veggies. Stir to combine.
Add sauce and cook for 1-2 minute or until the sauce
is thickened.
Serve with steamed / fried rice.
